Susan L. Lang
Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Susan founded HooPayz based on years of watching patients and consumers struggle with healthcare costs and medical bills. She views the Affordable Care Act as the most sweeping disruption to healthcare in years – AND – the right time to continue to disrupt the market by making healthcare costs transparent. A senior executive with a Fortune 100 company, Susan spent the last 10 years moving $145B dollars around in healthcare, through managed care negotiations and business deals. Her knowledge of health funding drives our 5 year product development strategy.

Prior to HooPayz, Susan was a C-suite executive for Express Scripts, and a senior executive with BJC Healthcare, a top 10 academic medical system. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in Marketing, and her MBA in Finance from Stetson University. Susan holds a seat on the Healthcare Committee for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.


Debbie Sanders
Chief Operating Officer

Debbie brings extensive experience managing complex IT projects and operations to HooPayz. She combines her knowledge of the insurance industry with healthcare to support fast-paced product development and deployment. Debbie oversees all web services and version updates, as well as the IT developmental environment, testing, security, client integrations, and social media.

During her time at Express Scripts, a Fortune 100 company, as well as GMAC Insurance, Debbie successfully managed client growth and business development strategies by leading complex, cross-functional teams. She holds a BS degree in Business from Webster University as well as an MPM – Masters in Project Management and IT.

Helping employers and employees optimize benefits and maximize every healthcare dollar is Karen’s priority. With 25+ years of finance management and healthcare experience, Karen’s data-driven decision making allows her to keep up with the ever-evolving patient advocacy space. Her enthusiasm for healthcare originated at BJC Healthcare, a top 10 academic medical system, where she spearheaded Financial & Performance Analysis. In her positions at Express Scripts, a Fortune 100 Company, and Wells Fargo, a Fortune 500 Company, Karen developed the financial strategy for billions in revenue and focused on fostering and retaining top talent.

It’s Karen’s background in finance, accounting, and patient accounts that has sharpened her ability to spot, and then craft, client and member savings opportunities. Karen is a Certified Public Accountant and holds her B.S. in Accounting from St. Louis University.


Natalie Meyer

Natalie brings a deep knowledge and passion for creating unique employer benefits solutions such as direct contracting agreements and captive programs to help reduce the cost of healthcare. Natalie’s background includes 12+ years of experience in both public health and employee benefits, she is a licensed health insurance agent and certified with the National Association of Health Underwriters for corporate wellness. She has served as the Director of the Tennessee Drug Card, Missouri Drug Card and Indiana Drug Card for 11 years.  In addition, she also served as Vice President at the Meyer Group, a healthcare-consulting firm that specializes in all forms of employee benefits. 

Natalie’s knowledge of the insurance industry and her ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships allows her to drive growth and change at HooPayz.  She holds her BS in Business and Marketing from Seattle University.


Beth Miller, Vice President of Client Engagement of Hoopayz, an advocate in HealthcareBeth Miller
Vice President, Client Engagement

Beth is a results driven leader with extensive experience in the areas of client account management, process improvement, complex strategic initiatives, and quality control. She delivers service excellence with her knowledge of healthcare and business acumen to support strategic accounts and drive new business development.

Prior to joining HooPayz, Beth served as Director in multiple roles at Express Scripts and Maritz, where she was responsible for complex, cross-functional teams to: improve operational efficiency, penetrate new markets, integrate people and process, redesign organizations, and drive contract compliance. She has also successfully lead multi-million dollar programs for clients across multiple industries involving consulting, training, employee engagement, communications, incentives, special events, product development and research. She holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Webster University


Brittney Tierce
Vice President, Operations

Brittney comes to HooPayz with ample experience in communications and product development. She uses her skills to create simple and educational materials to engage HooPayz members, and works on the implementation of new products and services that drive client and member savings.

Before her time at HooPayz, Brittney developed remedial lesson plans at the University of South Florida. She has a Masters in English Education from University of South Florida St. Petersburg and BA in Creative Writing from University of South Florida.
